Verse 1
Lord, as Thy word is given forth
As seed scattered abroad
Send Thy dew and water the seed
To bring Thy might and power.

Verse 2
Let not the foe of man and Christ
Pick all the seed away;
May the Word take root in our hearts
And grow in perfect love.

Verse 3
Oh Lord, allow not worldly cares
Like earth's pleasure and wealth
Nor trials and the storms of life
Choke up this heavenly seed.
